City Harvest AG Church is a community of God located Bengaluru City, India. You are welcome to a community that celebrates God in fellowship, worship, and word-based preaching from our pastors. Pr. Shine P. Thomas is the founder & lead pastor of City Harvest AG Church. The church reaches out to a diverse people group living in Bengaluru city and internationally through our online worship services. City Harvest AG Church has Sunday Worship services in English, Tamil, Kannada, Malayalam, & Hindi.
The Pastor
Pr. Shine has been faithful, prayerful and purposeful in guiding the congregation through God’s vision for City Harvest AG Church. Through the guidance of the Holy Spirit, Pastor Shine has sought to bring progressive leadership and spiritual enlightenment to his flock. The congregation’s membership has grown significantly in souls and maturity since 2003.
Pr. Shine Thomas was born in an orthodox Christian family. His grandfather was in the business of making church bells and temple lamps which used to be supplied to different parts of South India. His father was a Central Government employee with a transferable job. There was no hunger to go after God since his life continued to grow in a well-to-do family.
FAMILY SALVATION
Pastor’s father, Pr. P.G. Thomas was posted in Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala, in 1980 with pastor’s mother suffering from an incurable illness. During this period, someone guided them to a church. God worked through Sis. Mary Kovoor’s prayer and her husband who ministered in Thiruvalla, Kerala. Pastor’s mother experienced healing in her life and both the parents gave their lives for the Lord Jesus Christ.
SALVATION OF PASTOR SHINE
Pastor’s life took a transformational turn in Calcutta in 1985. He was along with his parents in Calcutta as a part of his father’s job. They became a part of the Buntain Memorial Assemblies of God Church, where pastor accepted Jesus Christ as his savior on the final day of a VBS. Pastor Mark Buntain gave the altar call. In June, he obeyed the Lord in water baptism. Later, God filled him with His Holy Spirit, with the evidence of talking in tongues, vision and prophesy. It was then, that Pastor stared rooting himself in Christ.
Rev. Shine Thomas is also serving as the Presbyter of the Central District of South India Assemblies of God, India.
The vision
City Harvest Assemblies of God Church exists for Jesus as a movement of the Holy Spirit for revival in Bengaluru city & the world. Discipleship occurs when we are intentional in living out the teachings of Jesus within community. We submit to the command of Scripture to love one another and this cannot happen if our lives do not intersect in good community fellowship. Our vision is fulfilled with the four-faceted approach. Preach. Prepare. Plant. Practice.
PREACH
We preach Jesus Christ and Him crucified and resurrected from the grave. Jesus is the only way, the truth and the life. It is through the paradox of the cross that we discover the way to God, the truth of who He is, and the life that only He can give. The gospel is the centre of Christianity and the cross is the center of the gospel.
PREPARE
Ephesians 4:12 “To prepare God’s people for works of service, so that the body of Christ may be built up.”
The focus of the church is Christian maturity. Our teachings in all departments of the church is to enable to grow people in the area of their fruitfulness to the image of Christ and exercising their spiritual gifts from the good foundation of the fruit of the Spirit. This way people are prepared to serve Jesus with mutual love for the Lord and the people.
PLANT

Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. PRACTICE

The Beginning
The church began in the year 2003 as part of a vision God gave to its founder and senior pastor, Shine P. Thomas. Over the years the church experienced a great harvest and presently caters to 6 language groups, English being the primary language. Our Senior Pastor and his wife has eventually left their secular job and is doing full-time ministry in the Lord’s vineyard.
The church started with his family of 3 (wife Glory Shine & son Samuel Shine), in 2003, with the church experiencing great harvest over the years. The church continues to grow as the fastest growing church in Bangalore City. As per the divine call of God, Rev. Shine Thomas and his wife have left their secular job and are doing full-time ministry in the Lord’s vineyard.
Rev. Shine Thomas has been faithful, prayerful and purposeful in guiding the congregation to serve God’s vision for this church, with the Holy Spirit guiding Pastor to bring progressive leadership and spiritual enlightenment to his flock. The congregation has been growing in number and spiritual maturity since 2003 and continues to impact the city of Bangalore for the glory of God across different language groups through vibrant worship, perfect teaching from the Word of God and an excellent spirit of fellowship.
Two years after the church’s founding, the pioneers of City Harvest Assemblies of God Church adopted the beliefs for the Fellowship. Four of these beliefs are considered the core beliefs of the Fellowship, widely known as our cardinal doctrines. They weave in and through all the teaching, music, preaching, discussions… everything we do. The Church’s message revolves around these four defining beliefs.
The Present
CHAG is impacting the city of Bengaluru and globally for the glory of God across different language groups through signs, wonders, vibrant worship, and a word-based teaching from the Word of God. We are all so excited to be in this church which is passionate about our Lord Jesus.
